So tired. Up at 9. Showered. Vocalized for 45 min. Packed clothes for photoshoot. Apt viewing uptown. Late for all the way downtown almost at the water. There for 5 hours. Ran to MMAC at 60th between the water and 12. Watched Pushing Progress show. Still out. Sorry so short. Much love.

Ok so another long day. Tried to sleep in a little bit, but I had to get up to try and go see some more apts. I got breakfast and on my way to the train.....the realtor calls me and says she cannot get the keys until the 1st of June. Blah so that didn't happen. Then I went up to 145 and broadway to check out a beautiful studio, but I'm not rich and famous yet so I believe it is a bit too high priced for me.

I went home and got on the computer to look for more apts and at that time is when I warmed up. I was able to do 45 minutes before I had to leave for vocal performance class. I went through class and was able to let loose and work the room by the end of my time slot. It felt nice to be on the spot and kind of cure some of my fears with singing this song. An hour after we got out of class was my scheduled audition time. Kelly was a little late so they didn't get me in there for an extra 15 minutes. It felt like trying to ice a kicker or shooter. Lol. Once I got in there though I felt amazing. My voice was loud and clean and the notes flew easily through a relaxed body. It was an amazing audition. Regardless of if I get to be a part of the show I really feel like I could not have done it any better.

I just finished shooting for Brice. I volunteered my time this evening to help him tape and photograph his piece that is being put on stage tomorrow. This is the second time I've been able to help and have offered my services tomorrow for the show as well. I will be running from my own photoshoot downtown to get to MMAC, but the show should be amazing. A wonderful and long day if I do say so myself. Much love.

SO.....my apt application didn't go through.  I definitely need to get on that asap.  I woke up later today so I didn't get to warm-up this morning.  I made it to my lesson with Kurt ok, but I'm incredibly tired and congested today so my voice and throat are not doing so well today.  It was rough trying to make it through my lesson.  The notes were not coming out as I wanted them too.  What was received well was that I had been using the go sound to get my voice used to certain notes.  I have been working hard and it paid off.  Kurt said that he could tell I had been working.  It's always nice to know when work pays off.

After my lesson, I waited for a while and then worked on my songs.  I have the audition for the Japan concert tomorrow at 6 so I have to keep with it.  I practiced for about 45 minutes before I had to meet a realtor to take a look at some more apts.  It was still a bit rough going through the song, but hopefully my voice will be ready for tomorrow.  I'm really excited for the opportunity.

The apt search was ok.  Just a couple of them that I saw.  Decent areas just waiting to see if that's what I want.  More tomorrow.  After that I took Brice Mousset again.  Amazing choreography and an amazing class.  Wish I would have had more energy for it.  Anyway, I'm crazy tired and need some rest.  Much love.

Looooonnnnnnnggggggg Day.  Sang this afternoon before classes.  45 min warm up.  Took a half hour off and then worked for a half hour on The Lazy Song. Then I went to BDC and took Eric Negron and Shyrelle's Classes.  I left there, got a protein shake from Juice Generation and hit the gym for about 2 hours.  That's it for today.  Crazy tired.  Much love.

Ok quick one today sorry.  Have many things still to do tonight.  Should have done them earlier but I didn't feel like making trips back and forth from midtown. 

So I woke up early, got ready and headed to realtor's office.  I put in all my money and paperwork on the apt so we'll see what happens there. 

I went to an audition at noon which at the time I was the only person who showed up.  Afterwards I found out that 4 other people showed up.  Good chances I'll get it though so that would be nice. 

I then went to the dance studio and hung around there until I took Brice's class.  Amazing combination but a scary incident in class today that I chose to help handle.  A girl went to the ground seizing today.  Very scary since I have never seen or dealt with such a thing before and we could not force her mouth open to make sure she didn't swallow her tongue.  She came to and the EMS talked to her outside.  At the end of class she was back in and dancing again.  Yes Really.  Dancing after a seizure, I kid you not.  Come to find out, she has problems with this sort of thing but does not take medication.  :-O

I guess the part that you need to hear about is that I did my warm-up again today and worked on that song again.  Nothing spectacular, but I gotta get it ready for this audition so that's pretty much all you're going to read about until it happens.  More on the seizure tomorrow.  Much love.

You would think that people would get annoyed when you sing loudly as you walk down the street.  Not in New York.  People are so used to the crazies in this city that they walk on past like nothing is wrong.  Not a glance, not a word of annoyance or gratitude, just complacent with the fact that there are financial advisors, crazies and artists in this city.  I'm imagining that you know where I practiced today.  I warmed up a bit at home today, but then all of my practicing was on the lyrics and it was while I was walking in the street today.  It's almost like performing every 10 feet.  You've got a new audience good or bad and you have to learn to take both in. 

The lyrics actually went pretty well today.  I'm trying to get ready for the auditions for The Japan Relief Concert so that I know I can make it on stage.  I'm really excited for it.  Other than that today I took two dance classes at BDC.  Brice Mousset and AntBoogie from the Amount Boyz.  Brice did a song that I have been dying for him to do so I will definitely be in every class he has for the rest of the week.  After classes I went to the gym for a quick minute.  I have an audition tomorrow so I figured I should try and pump up real quick. LOL we'll see how it actually works.  I'll probably do pull ups, push ups and crunches in the morning. 

No word on the apt yet.  I finish the application process tomorrow morning before my audition.  Then off to work on lyrics and that song with my friend.  THEN Brice's class again.  Hopefully I see you all there.  Much love.

What an amazing lazy day! Woke up late.  Made breakfast.  Then watched a bootleg! LOL I love the internet.  Not the best quality, but hell it beats paying $16.50 or whatever it is now (even though I did just get home from a movie).  After watching my movie at home earlier, I started my warm-up in the shower.  I had let the water run for a while to get the heat up in the bathroom to try and help my nose and throat.  Accidentally, I left it on for way too long and there was a cloud overhead! But it worked.  My voice felt amazing during warm-up.  I was able to float all the way up through my head and into my falsetto like I have been doing it for years.  After warming up I got all the rest of the paperwork for the apt application process from my end printed out.  After letting my voice rest for a short bit, I started back in on The Lazy Song.  Kurt and I had worked out most of the problems with the higher parts of the song at our last lesson.  Today I tried to make sure not to tense and push for the high notes.  It's a tough task especially without having a keyboard to knock out the notes on.  Maybe that should be a next purchase.... who knows.  Tonight I went to see the movie "Bridesmaids" after dinner.  I definitely was in tears for much of the movie.  GO SEE IT!
