I did my singing today while showering and getting ready.  I didn't warm up before hand because I didn't feel the need.  I had been awake and vocalizing a bit so I felt ready to go.  The work I did was on some songs by Miguel and then one by Bruno Mars.  I've been looking for something new to sing and their lyrics are entertaining and refreshing.  Many artists musicality and syncopation are lacking, whereas Miguel uses a story rhyme and syncopation like an emcee or rapper.  Makes singing more fun.  The Bruno Mars song, Lazy, was the one I worked on the most.  Unfortunately, the original recorded version is way too high for my voice type, but my best friend Brad put up a video of him singing it a little differently on his facebook page.  I instantly loved it and found myself wanting to learn guitar and sing this song all day.  All in all I vocalized for about 45 minutes today.  Not as much as I would have liked, but it was a crazy day and at least I still made use of it.
